What is Scrip?: Scrip is a term that means "substitute money." When you purchase scrip, you are purchasing negotiable gift certificates that are used just like cash. At BTCS the student/family gets 50% of their earnings towards operational fees for the following school year and the school gets 50%. Parishoners without students can donate 100% of their profits to school or may opt to donate 50% of their earnings toward a particular child/family at school.
